Broadband MAX
Broadband MAX services are best effort products that use rate adaption – this means that they will connect at the best stable line-rate between 288Kbit/s and 8128Kbit/s.

Important
  • The line-rate you get at any one time will fluctuate
  • Your throughput can and will vary
  • There are a number of factors that will affect you being able to reach 8128Kbit/s – for example the distance between you and the telephone exchange
  • During the first 10 days of your MAX service your line is assessed to establish the maximum stable rate – while this is happening you may not receive a full working service. To allow this process to happen you must log on for at least 15 minutes within the first 10 days of service, however the more that you are online during this period the more accurate your maximum stable rate will be.
