Case Study: Global Energy Group
14 October 2013
For the past three years one of Scotland’s most successful energy companies, Global Energy Group, has relied on IFB to keep them connected and like many other satisfied customers; they ‘got on and stayed on’. To reflect the company’s continued success, Global Energy Group has just announced that it is expanding. To accommodate this expansion, IFB has been given a number of new provisions including installing a fibre network between IFB’s Data Centre and the new Nigg Energy Park. Once complete, the Global employees, who are located around the world, will be able to access data and communicate as if they were in the same building. The leading company was first attracted to a local provider, IFB because of its consistently good reputation, around the clock care and tailored packages. Keiron Scott, Global Energy Group technical services manager says, “We have partnered with IFB for some time now across a range of services including the critical elements of our network and data center. IFB currently service the fibre lines, PDSL and data centre and this year, we decided to contract further work to IFB following our loyal and successful partnership to date. They are consistently reliable and achieve the best results for our planning and procuring infrastructure and connectivity services.
“They have also worked extremely hard to make sure some of our key business areas get the focus and attention from infrastructure providers. Thanks to their help and support we are able to fulfill the ambitions of our growth strategy. The customer service we receive is second to none and we really appreciate that they do not push new products onto us but instead recommend what would benefit us.”
